• Sports Sales Academy in the News

April 9 -13, 2008 set for Second Ohio University Sports Sales Academy Presented by Mandalay Sports Entertainment.

Last June, Mandalay Sports Entertainment and Ohio University's Sports Administration Program partnered to create an event that gives aspiring sports sales people top-notch experience from two of the most reputable entities in the country. From April 9 -13, the second Ohio University Sports Sales Academy presented by Mandalay Sports will give attendees the chance to learn from leading sports sales industry experts.

Headlining the speakers at the Academy include Jon Spoelstra, President of Mandalay Sports Entertainment's Professional Sports Franchise, and Jim Kahler, Executive Director of Ohio University's Center for Sports Administration. Eight attendees were hired on the spot by Mandalay Sports Entertainment and several others were offered employment when their educational commitments were completed.

Individuals attending the Academy will have two of the strongest organizations in sports working to train them for sales success and help them network for that first or next job.
