#Facilities Friday: Dan Donovan, Guidepost Solutions

As part of Dr. Heather Lawrence-Benedict's Facility and Event Management class, our students are lucky enough to hear from industry leaders on various topics related to the subject. This week, Dan Donovan, VP of Business Development at Guidepost Solutions.


 

 

 

Donovan's Role:
- "Prior to joining Guidepost Solutions, Dan Donovan co-founded The Inocon Group, a global leader in enterprise-wide risk solutions and now a part of Guidepost. Stadiums and Arenas - What are the big topics in Stadium and Arena security?
Donovan spent a good amount of time addressing the biggest issues in stadium and arena security. He identified several major areas of emphasis, outlined in the embedded tweet below.

 

 

Donovan played a key role in the security/operation of Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans. He was also one of the people that the NFL turned to when the power went out during the game. Check out the picture below fo the security war room during the Super Bowl in New Orleans.

Donovan explained that an error in calibration of a some sort of switch led to the power outage in New Orleans. For more information about that, please click here.
