Financial Aid

There are several financial aid programs available to make the Sports Administration & Facility Management Program affordable for students. During the first year of the MBA/MSA program, many students receive graduate assistantships through the College of Business. These assistantships may include a full or partial tuition waiver and/or a monthly stipend. CLICK HERE for more information on graduate assistantships within the College of Business.

Students may also pursue a number of graduate assistantship opportunities throughout the University. SAFM students often obtain GA positions in the Ohio University Athletic Department, in Campus Recreation, or in the SAFM program. SAFM students also frequently serve as teaching assistants in the Physical Education program. These graduate and teaching assistantships usually require a commitment of 15-20 hours per week and include a full tuition waiver and a monthly stipend of up to $800. For more information on graduate assistantships in the School of Recreation & Sport Sciences CLICK HERE.

Graduate students are also eligible for Graduate Recruitment Scholarships (GRS), which typically include a partial tuition waiver and a stipend for one or two quarters each year. Students receiving GRS awards are assigned to work 8 hours per week with faculty in the School of Recreation and Sport Sciences on research or administrative tasks. The total assistance available through a GRS award covers the cost of tuition for the quarter in which the award is received.

Several merit-based scholarships are also available for second-year students. CLICK HERE for more information.

Please contact the SAFM office if you have any questions about financial aid or graduate assistantships at Ohio University.
