Since introducing a Master of Sports Administration degree in 1966, Ohio University has long been recognized as the birthplace of sports education. Today, the College of Business, through the Department of Sports Administration, offers coursework leading to the Professional Master of Sports Administration degree in a manageable online format designed to meet the needs of practicing sports professionals. This 21-month online program will require three residencies on Ohio University’s Athens campus. Click here for more details.
The OHIO Professional MSA program curriculum includes three components: (1) Sports Administration Core (40 hours), (2) Applied Projects (11 hours), and Current Issues (4 hours). The Sports Administration Core allows students to apply business concepts, principles, and theories to examine issues that are commonly encountered by sport executives.
